What are the types of buckets divided into?

2023-04-23

Excavator buckets, also known as digging buckets, are divided into backhoe buckets and front shovel buckets according to their working methods. The commonly used ones are backhoe buckets.

According to the material, the shovel can also be divided into standard buckets, reinforced buckets, rock buckets, and gravel buckets. The standard bucket material is made of domestic high-quality high-strength structural steel 16Mn, which is suitable for excavation and sand, gravel loading, and other lighter working environments with dry and generally sticky materials. The material for the vulnerable parts of the reinforcing bucket, including the tooth seat plate and side blade plate, is made of high-quality high-strength wear-resistant steel NM360, which is suitable for heavy-duty operations such as excavating hard soil mixed with soft crushed stones or loading crushed stones and gravel. The tooth adapter and side cutting edge of the rock bucket are made of ultra-high strength wear-resistant steel HARDOX imported from Sweden. It is suitable for heavy-duty working environments such as dry excavation of hard, sub hard rocks mixed with harder crushed stones, wind fossils or hard rocks, and loading of ore after blasting.

Buckets can also be divided into ditch buckets, grid buckets, cleaning buckets, tilting buckets, etc. according to their functions. The ditch bucket is suitable for excavation of various shapes of trenches. The trench excavation is formed in one go and generally does not require trimming, resulting in high work efficiency. Grille bucket is suitable for separating loose materials in excavation, and the excavation and separation are completed in one go. It is widely used in municipal, agricultural, forestry, water conservancy, and earthwork engineering. The cleaning bucket and tilting bucket are suitable for the trimming of slopes and other flat surfaces, as well as the large-scale dredging and cleaning of rivers and ditches. The tilting bucket can change the tilting angle of the cleaning bucket through the oil cylinder, greatly improving work efficiency.

Structure of excavator bucket
The bucket belongs to the category of structural components, consisting of spare parts such as tooth adapter, bottom plate, side cutter edge, wall plate, ear plate, back plate, ear plate, ear sleeve, tooth, tooth seat, protective plate or corner. Therefore, welding is the most critical manufacturing process of the bucket, and the quality of welding directly affects the structural strength and service life of the bucket
