What is the application of bucket bushings on engineering machinery?

2023-04-17

The bucket shaft bushing is installed at the connection between the excavator's large and small arms and the bucket, and can be replaced.

The main function is to prevent direct contact between the pin (bucket shaft) and the vehicle body, resulting in wear. Being able to use bearings to withstand greater loads, coupled with the coordination of lubricating oil, is the best partner for mechanical components, especially for applications on large and heavy machinery. In order to prevent the pin from shifting due to vibration during movement, a bucket bushings is needed to fix it.
So the important role of shaft sleeves in machines is to fix and position them. Another function of shaft sleeves is the function of sliding bearings, where in order to achieve cost savings, the thickness of the bushings needs to be designed based on the pins load of the bearing. In fact,  shaft sleeves can also be considered as sliding bearings.

Characteristics of the bushings:
1. Low friction impedance: The steel ball can move steadily in a straight line with minimal friction impedance due to the correct orientation of the retainer.
2. 40Cr steel: 40Cr steel series is also available, suitable for corrosion resistance needs.
3. Exquisite design: Extremely small in size, suitable for use in delicate mechanical equipment.
4. Rich variations: In addition to the standard model, there are also serialized high rigidity long models that can be selected according to their usage.
